Information on Merit Badges...

There are several merit badges where scouts can learn about sports, crafts, science, trades, business, and future careers. Any Boy Scout may earn any merit badge at any time.

Pick a merit badge that you find of interest and refer to the list of merit badge counselors. Contact the merit badge counselor, ask for a signed merit badge application (also known as a "blue card"), ask the counselor what he/she expects, and ask for assistance to meet the requirements. The troop librarian has the merit badge pamphlets which can help you learn and do the requirements. Once you have completed the requirements, call the counselor and make an appointment for review. When the counselor is satisfied that you have met each requirement, he or she will sign your "blue card". Submit the signed "blue card" to your Scoutmaster.
